EMCCD / CCD Camera Products
EMCCD (Electron-multiplying CCD) technology is a digital scientific detector innovation first introduced to the imaging community in 2000. EMCCD is a quantitative digital camera technology that is capable of detecting single photon events while maintaining high Quantum Efficiency, by way of a unique electron multiplying structure built into the sensor. EMCCD is superior to CCD technology in that it is not limited by the readout noise of the output amplifier, even when operated at high readout speeds. Also, because of the lower costs and better resolution, EMCCDs are capable of replacing ICCDs (Intensified CCDs) in many applications.
FLIR Advanced Imaging’s line of EMCCD camera cores provide high-performance visible light imaging in bright sunlight and near total darkness for the ultimate in target recognition and identifi cation capability. Whether your application calls for full color or monochrome imaging, FLIR’s EMCCD cameras provide the solutions you need:
- 24-hour visible light imaging operations
- Long-range target recognition and identification in almost any lighting conditions
- Proprietary image processing algorithms to bring out hidden image detail
- Integral C-Mount adapter accepts most optical packages
- Flexible, custom packaging available, including remote camera head configuration
