Multi-sensor systems for surveillance, security and force protection, the Ranger® family of imaging systems provides beyond the fence perimeter surveillance to detect, assess, identify, and deter threats. Multi-sensor systems for surveillance, security and force protection are available for a wide variety of tactical applications. These systems can be operated independently or integrated into a fully interoperable radar/sensor network. Ruggedized to perform in extreme temperatures and other harsh environmental conditions, they are in front-line operation around the world.
The Ranger MS-UC DefendIR is an industry leading mid-range thermal imager that can see in complete darkness and through a multitude of
environmental conditions including smoke, rain, snow, dust and dense fog. The Ranger DefendIR is based on Forward Looking InfraRed (FLIR) technology developed for the U.S. Military. The Ranger DefendIR is ideally suited for day and night perimeter security, maritime surveillance, and DHS/DoD applications. The ruggedized housing is environmentally sealed and certified to meet NEMA4X and IP66 specifications, standing up to the most challenging weather and temperature conditions. Offering 144 different configuration options, each camera can be customized to meet detailed range performance and site integration requirements. Combined with a true continuous optical zoom and state-of-the-art video analytics, the Ranger DefendIR series offers a ground breaking integrated surveillance solution.
Continuous Optical Zoom
Most thermal cameras offer a multi-field-of-view or step-zoom. For instance, if it is necessary to see farther out, the operator must step between the fields of view, causing a temporary loss of the target image. The Ranger MS-UC DefendIR CZ has a true, continuous optical zoom, giving the user the ability to change fields of view while keeping the target in focus; adding an additional layer of security.
Integrated Thermal / CCD / Spotlight
The Ranger MS-UC EnforcIR™ is a unique deterrence system that builds on the impressive capabilities of the Ranger MS-UC EnforcIR™/DefendIR™. Utilizing a day/low-light CCD camera and an uncooled VOx thermal imager, the Ranger MS-UC EnforcIR adds a high power spotlight to detect, deter and temporarily disorient intruders. The 12 million candle power spotlight on the Ranger MS-UC EnforcIR can illuminate intruders within a one-mile radius. With a continuous thermal optical zoom lens option, the Ranger MS-UC EnforcIR meets the requirements for any mission, from wide-area surveillance to long-range threat identification. The integrated 26x zoom visible camera is slaved with the field of view of both the thermal camera and the spot light, maximizing the threat assessment and allowing the combination of thermal and visible images in real time.
The Ranger MS-UC EnforcIR is ideally suited for day and night perimeter security, border surveillance, law enforcement, crowd control, deterrence and search and rescue operations. Featuring a sleek integrated pan and tilt design, the camera is capable of continuous 360 degrees panning, up to -75 to +75 degrees tilt and has the ability to withstand temperatures ranging from -40 to +60 degrees Celsius. A pedestal heater is available for extreme temperature situations.
The ruggedized housing is environmentally sealed to meet NEMA 4 and IP65 specifications. Out of the box, the Ranger MS-UC EnforcIR is ready to integrate into your system. It supports most protocols used in commercial and military applications and can easily be integrated into existing fiber, wireless or IP networks. It can also interface with video motion detection (VMD), radar, unattended ground sensors (UGS) or other trigger sensors for a "slew-to-cue" solution.
