identiFINDER R425 and R225 Firmware Update

Teledyne FLIR is excited to announce a new firmware release for the identiFINDER R425 handheld RIID (version R225.25.2.159) and the identiFINDER R225 SPRD (425.25.1).
It is essential to update your instruments with the latest firmware.
Here is an overview of the most significant enhancements and updates that will further enhance the capabilities of your Teledyne FLIR identiFINDER devices:
- Improved ID algorithm.
- New, improved templates for Lu-177, WgPu (Weapons Grade Plutonium), and RgPu (Reactor Grade Plutonium).
- Pu-238 added to the library.
- French language added.
Lutetium-177 (Lu-177) is a medical isotope used in targeted radionuclide therapy to treat neuroendocrine tumors and prostate cancer. It is a common radionuclide that can be found in people, shipments, and waste. Because the gamma energy lines with Lu-177 and Pu-239 are very similar, instruments without Lu-177 will identify it as Pu-239 or Plutonium.
