FLIR M625 Wins NMEA Product of Excellence Award

Maritime night vision system impresses NMEA membership as top Marine Camera

FLIR Maritime’s M625 Thermal Imaging Camera System was recognized at the 2015 Product of Excellence in the Marine Cameras category at the National Marine Electronics Association (NMEA) Annual Convention and Expo held in Baltimore, MD October 29 through November 1, 2015.

The system was selected from a field of very competitive entries by a vote of the NMEA’s membership.  This is the second year in a row that FLIR Maritime products have been recognized at the Association’s annual gathering.  In 2014 the FLIR MD-Series was selected as Best Specialty Product, with the FLIR MV-Series received the prestigious NMEA Technology Award.

“FLIR’s M-Series Maritime Thermal Cameras have a history of proven performance” said Lou Rota, Vice-President of Sales for FLIR Maritime.  “Their rugged reliability, simple installation, and ease-of-use make them highly regarded by NMEA-member electronics dealers.  They can recommend genuine FLIR Maritime cameras with confidence to their customers knowing they will be exceptionally pleased with the system.”

The FLIR M625 is a compact, dual payload camera featuring a high-resolution thermal camera plus a visible light camera with lowlight capability.  The camera system is built on a compact pan/gimbal that allows unrestricted 360 degree visibility.  The thermal imager works day or night allowing mariners to see in total darkness, as well as through smoke, haze, light fog and solar glare.  The M625 is a top-choice for small to mid-sized vessels including workboats, emergency response vessels and yachts.
