How are FLIR's thermal cameras identified for warranty tracking purposes? Is there a serial number, unique ID number, etc.?

A unique serial number is etched into the camera frame of each Quark2, Tau2, and legacy Photon camera.

The camera serial number and sensor serial number are also embedded in the camera software. The function code (hex) is 0x04. The command is SERIAL_NUMBER. Bytes 0-3 return the camera serial number, and bytes 4-7 return the sensor serial number.

The PathFindIR serial number is located on a label affixed to the camera enclosure.
