Will the VPC allow an image from Tau2, Quark2 to be displayed on a PC or is a video frame grab card needed?

A video frame grab device is required in order to display analog video from a Tau2 or Quark2 on a PC by way of the VPC module. This is typically done by a video cable interface from the MCX connector on the VPC module to the video input connector of the frame grabber. An inexpensive analog video frame grabber such as a "GrabBee" can be used to transfer single images or movies (8-bit) onto a PC hard drive via a USB port.

For highest fidelity, an accessory such as FLIR's Camera Link expansion board can be used to acquire 14-bit digital video from Tau cameras directly into a PC that is equipped with a Camera Link frame grabber.
