Tau CNV is an ultra low light (2 milli-lux sensitivity in monochrome) camera with novel on chip high dynamic range of over 85db. Tau CNV is designed for military electro optics payloads and features good near infrared response, 16-bit digital output, rugged compact housing and low power consumption.
Tau CNV
The Tau CNV™ (Color Night Vision) camera is designed for applications that demand high frame rates at low light levels in a small, rugged, low-power OEM camera configuration. The Tau CNV incorporates Fairchild Imaging’s new sCMOS sensor with 6.5μm2 pixel pitch and 1280 × 960 high-definition (HD) resolution, ultrahigh 25,000:1 dynamic range and less than 2e- (rms) read noise. The TAU CNV is a great alternative to power hungry EMCCD cameras and other low light technologies including image intensified and EBAPS (electron bombarded active pixel sensor) based cameras.
The Tau CNV is highly configurable with 1280 × 960 and 1280 × 720 (720p) resolution at 30 frames per second, interface options that include Camera Link, NTSC Analog or 3.3V LVCMOS Parallel and can be ordered with or without the integrated motorized IR Cut-filter. Both Color and Monochrome versions are available.
