On Friday, May 12th many Windows based systems around the world were victims of malicious “WannaCrypt” software AKA “WannaCry”. Please note that “WannaCrypt” is a Windows OS vulnerability, therefore the fix involves Windows Update.
Microsoft has released a security update which addresses the vulnerability that these attacks are exploiting.
