Unable to use the ThermaCAM QuickReport software to communicate with the camera, having problem with the USB Mass Storage Device driver.

Status of driver "This device cannot start", after connecting the BCAM camera to the USB port of a computer (desktop or laptop). Driver Date: 7/1/2001 Driver Version: 5.1.2600.0

 

Here are some suggestions that may solve the problem:

  1. Go into the camera setup menu and make sure "USB Cable" is set to "Standard" mode.
  2. If you are using a BCAM SD make sure the SD card is installed in the camera slot, which is to the right of the USB connector.
  3. Go into the camera setup menu and select "Restore default". This will reset the camera to original factory settings.
  4. Try a different USB cable.

In one case, solution was the SD card had to be installed in the camera slot in order to enable a mass storage drive.
