Why do I get a 1722 error message when installing ThermaCAM Reporter 8.2?

Workaround for most installation problems with error code 1722.
NB. Administrative rigths on the computer are necessary to complete the workaround.

CASE 1
If your error message includes "O2003PIA.msi" or "O2007PIA.msi", try the following:
1. Open the Microsoft Windows "Control Panel".
2. Open "Add/Remove Programs"
3. For Microsoft Office 2003: Check if "Microsoft Office 2003 Primary Interop Assemblies" is installed.
    For Microsoft Office 2007: Check if "Microsoft Office 2007 Primary Interop Assemblies" is installed.
4. If YES; Uninstall the "Primary Interop Assemblies" manually.
5. Install the "Primary Interop Assemblies" manually. <Reporter installation CD>\Prerequisites\(O2003PIA.msi or O2007PIA.msi) OR via Office installation.
6. Update your computer via Microsoft Update: http://www.update.microsoft.com. Ask your IT department for help if necessary.
7. Install ThermaCAM Reporter. Note that you probably don't need to enter your license key again, just click "next" in the ThermaCAM Licensing Wizard.

CASE 2
If you have Microsoft Office 2003 and your error message includes one of the following install packages: "OTKLoadr.msp", "MSMExtensibility.msi" or "LockbackRegKey.msi"; Try the following:
1. Update your computer via Microsoft Update: http://www.update.microsoft.com. Make sure you have Service Pack 3 for Microsoft Office 2003 installed. Ask your IT department for help if necessary.
2. Install ThermaCAM Reporter. Note that you probably don't need to enter your license key again, just click "next" in the ThermaCAM Licensing Wizard.

CASE 3
If your error message includes "E:\Prerequisites\Microsoft\vstor.exe", try the following:
1. Start the Control Panel and select Add/Remove Program.
2. Uninstall the program Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Tools for Office Runtime and Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Tools for Office Second Edition Runtime.
3. Install ThermaCAM Reporter. Note that you probably don't need to enter your license key again, just click "next" in the ThermaCAM Licensing Wizard.

CASE 4
If none of the above works, try the following:
1. Open the Microsoft Windows "Control Panel".
2. Open "Add/Remove Programs"
3. For Microsoft Office 2003: Make sure that "Microsoft Office 2003 Primary Interop Assemblies" is installed.
    For Microsoft Office 2007: Make sure that "Microsoft Office 2007 Primary Interop Assemblies" is installed.
    IMPORTANT!!! Proceed ONLY if the correct Primary Interop Assemblies are installed. Otherwise ThermaCAM Reporter will NOT work!
4. Apply the attached fix (Fix1722.exe)

If you still have problems, please check with your IT department for restricting policies etc; especially if your computer is part of a Active Directory Domain.
There are known issues with Microsoft Windows Vista computers in Active Directory Domains configured for Microsoft Windows XP clients.
