Why doesn't the wizard generate a report when I press finish?

Due to Microsoft ended their support for Microsoft Office 2000, there are known issues affecting the stability of the Reporter 8 suit. Workarounds that mostly addresses these issues are:

  • If Outlook is using Word as e-mail editor, we advice you to close it before generating a report.
  • Close Word if Word is running, before you generate a report.
  • Save the report and close Word before attempting to generate another report.
  • If you create a new template and want to use it in the wizard, make sure that you close both Word and the wizard (if it's running) before you attempt to generate the new report.
  • If you experience trouble with the report creation, please do the following:
    • Close the wizard. Press Ctrl-Alt-Delete and select 'Task Manager'.
    • Select the tab 'Processes' and look for 'WINWORD.EXE' in the list.
    • Select each ' WINWORD.EXE' and choose 'End Process' -button.
    • Start the wizard and generate the report.
