Protective housing for Flir A40/A50/A70 models
This aluminum, IP67-rated protective housing is specifically designed for Flir A40/A50/A70 thermal cameras. Camera accuracy within the protective housing remains within standard specifications due to Flir's proprietary radiometric formulas. Compatible accessories include cooling block/jacket, sun shield, and numerous mounting options.
Note: the chalcogenide window blocks the visual camera.
Equivalent optics, verified
88–90% transmission across the 7–14 µm band, with radiometric accuracy unchanged. Confirmed in testing against the germanium reference window.
Stable as temperatures climb
A low thermo-optic coefficient keeps optical properties consistent—the same material class automotive thermal cameras qualify from -40°C to 85°C (-40°F to 185°F).
Hardened like before
The same AR + DLC diamond-like-carbon coating as the previous window, meeting MIL-spec abrasion, humidity, and salt-spray standards.
