Both Reporter and Researcher software have powerful analysis functions with following main differences:
a) Reporter is “off-line” software which means images could be analyzed only after they are saved in storage media connected to PC.
Researcher is “on-line” software which can analyze live image from camera in real time which means images are analyzed at the same time they are captured by the camera. It is also capable of storing realtime images in a PC and analyzing them frame by frame. For an example, it is possible to save S65 images at 60 frames/sec speed until PC hard disk is full. Recording speed could be higher with higher frame rate cameras.
b) Reporter has fast Wizard based multi page report generator and automatic report generator with “drag and drop“ of IR and visual images with flexibility such as user-designed template, automatic placement of matching visual and IR images. Researcher has no report generation function.
c) Reporter is embedded in MS Word while Researcher is an independent software.
d) QuickReport works with images from storage media (on the PC or usb connection to camera). It has limited analysis and reporting capability, small number of fixed templates only.
