Why is FLIR Tools crashing on start-up or not starting up?

There may be a configuration change in the system made by another software installation that could be creating problems with FLIR Tools.

To identify the problem, send a query to FLIR customer support ( using Ask a question) with the following for us to analyze further and resolve the problem:

  1. The log directory zipped from the following location: "C:\ProgramData\FLIR Systems\FLIR Tools\Log" (this folder is hidden, so you need to copy the path within the quote marks and paste it into the Windows Explorer address bar).
  2. The "user.config" file present in the directory starting with "FLIR_Tools" from the location "%LOCALAPPDATA%/FLIR_Systems"  (copy the path within the quote marks and paste it into the Windows Explorer address bar).
  3. From the Command prompt, execute the following:
    (a) PATH > PATH.TXT
    (b) notepad PATH.TXT
    Save the "PATH.TXT" file that will be created onto your Desktop, and send it to us together with the previous two files.
