You can lose access to the ResearchIR window if you have a dual-monitor setup and you leave ResearchIR running on the second monitor with the connect dialog showing. If you disconnect the second monitor, the ResearchIR window will move to the main monitor, but the connect dialog will not move, so you cannot click on the ResearchIR window.

Pressing Alt+F4 will close the dialog, and you should then be able to access the ResearchIR window.  You could also run Task Manager and end the ResearchIR.exe process, and then restart ResearchIR. 

To avoid this problem, ensure that the connect dialog is not showing before disconnecting the second monitor.
