On Windows 7 you might need to allow FLIR R&D software through Windows Firewall. Go to Control Panel -> Systems and Security -> Windows Firewall -> Allowed Programs and check both Home/Work (Private) and Public check-boxes.

For best preformance on Windows Vista and Windows 7 with UAC enabled start the application as administrator.
