Planet
Teledyne FLIR technology aids environmental stewards and organizations across the globe, collaborating with scientific researchers and field experts to better understand and improve the health of the planet. Our technology helps visualize the impact of greenhouse gases, volcanoes and a host of other environmental phenomena. Thermal imaging technology is also used to study a variety of animals, including bats, birds, whales, bears, and mountain lions to help preserve these species.
Environmental Stewardship
As part of our mission, Teledyne FLIR is proud to collaborate with World Wildlife Fund, donating thermal cameras to WWF to help with their effort to protect endangered wildlife. Rangers use the technology to combat poaching in Africa and it has made a major impact.

Purpose

Veteran Support
For almost four decades, Teledyne FLIR has provided militaries around the world with technology and solutions to help them accomplish their mission safely and effectively. Today, Teledyne FLIR employs hundreds of veterans in a range of job roles, including engineering, sales, business development, support, and executive staff. Our goal is to significantly increase the number of veteran employees at Teledyne FLIR and become a top employer for veterans in the coming years.
Teledyne FLIR TradeForce
Thermal Training Program for Veterans
TradeForce provides free thermography training to U.S. veterans through its Infrared Training Center (ITC). The need for more qualified thermal imaging experts, or thermographers, across industries continues to grow in areas such as electrical, building inspection, moisture remediation, HVAC, and gas inspection. Having people within a company who have used thermal technology in the battlefield brings unique and invaluable experience to the workplace.
Potential
Today’s students are tomorrow’s explorers, discoverers and innovators. At Teledyne FLIR, we support the need to feed the curiosity and interest of children in science, technology and engineering to fuel future innovations. Our goal is to inspire teachers and youth to explore the unseen world of thermal imaging and make science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) subjects more interesting in the classroom.
