This could be due to a faulty configuration. To solve this, do the following:
- Go to the folder C:\Users\<useraccountname>\AppData\Roaming, where <useraccountname> is the name of the Windows user account that you are currently logged into. You may have to enable the Windows option of viewing hidden folders.
- Rename the folder ResearchIR to _ResearchIR or something similar to back up the configuration folder.
- Start ResearchIR 4 again, and a new configuration folder will be created from scratch, which should solve the problem.
