If you are interested in upgrading your T10xx camera to the new user interface and latest firmware, please follow the instructions below. The new firmware will give your camera a completely new user interface that is more intuitive to navigate in when you are out in the field doing your thermographic inspections. The new user interface will of course have all the functionalities of the old interface but the menus will be optimized for easy access and the number of buttons you have to press to perform tasks will be kept at a minimum.
If you choose to not upgrade your camera, you will not get access to future bug fixes, new functions and general upgrades. The new user interface is similar to the new generation of FLIR cameras reaching the market which has won several design awards, such as the Red Dot: Best of the Best 2017 with the Jury statement: "The design of the camera impresses with a large and clearly arranged display with an optimized graphical user interface that continuously supports the users’ crucial decisions. The interface promotes the most-wanted and relevant information in every specific moment, resulting in highly goal-oriented work processes"
The update process is divided into four parts and the procedure is as follows:
- Make sure that your camera has the firmware version 1.53.28 or 1.53.29.
If you have an older version, connect the camera to your computer and scan for camera updates in FLIR Tools.
The firmware version can be checked in the camera if you enter the menu:
Settings -> Device Settings -> Camera information -> Software - Download the file upd_getiddata_v2.zip and follow the instructions in the Notice to customer available.
- Retrieve the CAMID.txt file from SD card and send it to FLIR service by E-mail with the subject "T10xx FW upgrade". Choose the service office closest to your location to get the fastest response.
a) You will receive a response from FLIR within 1 working day. This response will include two zip files. If you have previously registered your camera, you will also receive an unlock code that should be entered in the camera when prompted.
B) Download the two zip files included in the E-mail. - Follow the procedure in the Notice to customer, this time with the file upd_T1k_conf_T10xx_v2.3_725xxxxx.zip where x corresponds to your camera serial number.
- Follow the procedure in the Notice to customer, this time with the file updo_v2.x.y.zip, where x and y refer to the version that you received in your E-mail.
If you haven't previously registered your camera, please do so. If you register your camera you will get access to future bug fixes, new features and potential recalls. If you already registered your camera, please input the unlock code in the camera when prompted. You should have received your unlock code in the E-mail from FLIR service.
