FLIR ONE Apps – current and future

The FLIR ONE apps universe continues to expand this month with “FLIR Approved App” approvals for Thin Blue Line (a safety & law enforcement app), Naviplotter (a marine navigational app), Thermal Analysis Plus (a thermal education app), and a construction app from Infrasoft. You’ll be able to get them from the Apple App store or you can check them out on the FLIR Apps Gallery.

Are you working on a cool new app for the FLIR ONE? Do you want to win an awesome CAT S60 smartphone with “Thermal by FLIR”?

There’s still time to get in on the contest for Q1 – just submit your new FLIR ONE app for review for inclusion in the FLIR ONE app gallery by 11:59pm March 31st! We’ll announce the winner as our new “Featured App” the third week of April.

We announced the 3rd generation FLIR ONE products at the 2017 Consumer Electronics Show and we expect them to be available in stores in late Q2. The new Gen 3 SDKs should be available to the public in Q3, check out this update video for an update on what you can expect.

To summarize, keep working on your FLIR ONE apps using the current SDK and hardware because they’ll be compatible with the new hardware with a simple recompile and you can update them with the Gen 3 features once the Gen 3 SDKs are released.

Also, we’re now accepting applications for the early developer program for the 3rd generation SDKs – contact cal.loo@flir.com if you’d like more information and an application form.
