How do I select codec options for Flir ResearchIR/ResearchIR Max?

Selecting codecs in Flir ResearchIR/ResearchIR Max

Flir ResearchIR and ResearchIR Max feature powerful AVI exportation options. The codec system used by default is ffdshow (http://sourceforge.net/projects/ffdshow/).
When ffdshow is installed, Flir ResearchIR will make use of the codec setup by ffdshow (Program Files > ffdshow > VFW configuration).
Therefore, the video compression codec and parameters are setup externally from Flir ResearchIR.



If ffdshow is not installed on the computer, Flir ResearchIR will use the installed video encoder codecs. When the user clicks the OK button in the export window, Flir ResearchIR presents the standard window codec selection window.
