Why do I get dropped frames when recording with my camera using an Ethernet connection in FLIR ResearchIR?

First, check if your network camera has enough bandwidth for your camera.

If it has, then ensure that the eBUS Universal Pro for Ethernet driver is activated for your network card. To check this, open the Start Menu in Windows, go to Pleora Technologies and select eBUS Driver Installation Tool. If the eBUS Universal Pro for Ethernet driver is not installed, install it.

Also, in ResearchIR, select Record to memory under Recording settings. This will reduce the risk of dropped frames.

If this doesn't help, contact FLIR contact customer support by submitting a support ticket.

Note that if almost no dropped frames is required, an HSDR (high-speed data recorder) may be the solution.
