General Video Requirements

FLIR video standards for security, quality and speed.

Videos should be made available with and without title cards
A 'blank' version should be sure to exclude any of the following:

  • Phone Numbers
  • Email Addresses
  • Physical Addresses
  • Websites/URLs

Some eCommerce partners like Amazon are to not direct traffic outside of their site so using native platforms to post videos is advised.

Bring together various video resources as they relate to a product, product family, industry, or application
Should include explanatory titles and descriptions, either always visible or visible upon rollover

When possible do not use abbreviations.  Industry strandard terms or trademarks are ok (e.g. TRMSm VFD, IR, MSX, LoZ)
Avoid special characters (e.g. "/","\", "!","#")
Add key differentiators, for example o Ex family, the main difference is IR Resolution

Copy Search Optimization

Provide top-level, key feature information to connect with target customers and their desired benefits.

Title Tags - Should be unique for every product
Meta Descriptions - Related to SEPR (search engine result page) of the website, should include compelling descriptions with relevant keywords
Research specific keywords relevant to the product
Create content with specific keywords in mind

Bundles can include service, support, or warranty options.

Cross-Sell

Cross-sell options provide customers with suggestions of products and services that compliment or augment their purchase.

Cross-Sell relationships should be defined before product launch and updates as new products are released.
Cross-sell options include accessories, complementary product parts, as well as service and support options.
Cross-Sell pathways may vary by customer segment. Defining pathways by core customer segments is recommended.

Up-Sell

 

Up-Sell

Providing customers with a clear path to a higher value alternative product or service is essential to increasing ASPs.

Up-Sell relationships should be defined before product launch and updated as new products are released.
Upsell pathways can be within (C2^ C3) and beyond product families (C3 ^ E4)
Upsell pathways may vary by customer segment. Defining pathways by core customer segments is recommended
Product bundles, both real and virtual can be used as up-sell options.
NIST variations can serve as upsell options
Up-Sell descriptions should be intuitive and explanatory for the customer. When possible, short descriptions should be used in place of model numbers.
When possible variation options should move from left-to-right as good-better-best.
