Remote control and commands for A320/A325

We want to use an A320 or A325 for online process control. We found in the document A320 ICD-en.pdf a lot of functions and commands we wanted to use over ethernet communication (for example: box functions: ...isoCoverage). The A32x should be connected with a PLC.
3 Questions:

A) Can we use these commands for direct request to the camera (data direct from camera live image)?

B) Can we get 10 or more readings per second?

C) Should we rather use TelNet or TCP Client?

A. Yes you can but only if Measurement functions are enabled in the Camera i.e. Areas Spots .... (Only for the A320)

B. This is dependant on the number of functions enabled in the Camera, i.e. if all functions in the Camera are turned on then the answer is No. We do not have an algorithm to calculate the load on the processor so I can't give an accurate answer.

C. Telnet is probably easier.

P.S.  The A325 does not have any Measurement functions built in. It is only streaming the Data for Image processing using GigE GEN<i>CAM Protocol So it will require a PC as the Receiver and is not a good candidate for PLC's.

There are some Third Party Products on the Market that has OPC Servers designed for The A320 Cameras, for more details contact your local FLIR Sale office.
